Dr. Lisa Gao, a board-certified orthodontist who practices in Westwood, CA, and was born in China and raised in Southern California. She completed her dental education at the University of California, San Francisco and her orthodontic residency at Ohio State University. Dr. Gao serves as a Clinical Instructor at UCLA, where she supervises residents in providing patient care.
Dr. Gao met her husband on Match.com thirteen years ago and they have two children together. She loves having dance parties with her kids and going to music festivals with her husband. In fact, after graduating from her orthodontic residency on a Saturday, Dr. Gao worked that following Monday seeing 150 patients, then went to Thailand on Tuesday for a much-deserved vacation.
In her free time, Dr. Gao enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, daughter, and son. She is also bilingual in English and Chinese and can speak some Farsi because her husband is Iranian.
One of Dr. Gao’s favorite memories is coming home from the hospital after giving birth to her son and seeing the excitement and joy on her daughter’s face. She was so happy to see her baby brother and wanted to hold him, kiss him, and shower him with love.
